quotation
In the text, Sipher makes an intresting comparison, which I titally agree with. "You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink," we have pretended it is not true in education. (Sipher, n.pag)
Summarise
In the essay So That Nobody Has To Go To School If They Don't Want To, written by Roger Sipher, we can read about the fact that many children dont want to attend to school anymore. He says that when this happens, they should have the right to choose, weather they want an education or not, weather they want to quit school orget a high school diploma. He also says that school has failed on their puropose, because they no longer care if the student makes homework or studies for an exam, at the end the student would go to the next grade without failing.
Paraphrasing
The solution to this problem is simple: Abolish compulsory-attendance laws and allow only those who are committed to getting an education to attend.
So this will stop being an issue, when students stop feeling preassured by the fact they need to go to school. The students who are really intrested in recieving a fullfilling education, will assist class and make their best effort to learn and achieve their goals.
